Beautiful Bohol

I've been on the run for a few weeks. Montri and I took a few days to ourselves in Bangkok to celebrate his birthday then without a blink, Santi and I crashed my family's vacation in Cebu and Bohol plus spent a few days in Bahay Kalipay to escape the fumes of our newly painted home. But more of that later...this post is purely about Beautiful Bohol :)

Of course, we did the Loboc River Cruise. (food was not great, but the experience was ok) I think we have a similar cruise with buffet here in Palawan. I should check that out, they might have better food!

Who would miss the famous Chocolate Hills? Too bad the weather did not cooperate, it was drizzling when we got there so the pictures weren't so clear :(

Below is my fave photo of my Dad together with his mini-me, Santi! My mom and brother refused to climb the hill that had the best views of the hills. But my lovable father never refuses an invite from me nor Santi, so he accompanied us despite much difficulty climbing that steep hill :) We love you so very much!

Our family was invited to come by Menchie and Benjie Balagot. They have a beautiful home only a few minutes walk from the white sands of Panglao Beach. This was our 2-bedroom cottage for 2 nights. What do you think? Lovely isn't? It reminds me of a traditional Balinese house in Ubud!
You can rent a room for 2pax at P2,500 per night or a room for 4pax at P3,500 per night. Continental breafast is included with AC in rooms, celiing fan, WiFi, toilet/bath with free pick up from the port for 4pax. Contact 0917-8607234 or email bbalagot@yahoo.com for more information.

Benjie and Mechie were awesome hosts, they prepared us pizza from scratch in their special brick oven made by an Italian friend.

One of the many homemade pizzas devoured during our first night.

We found out that Benjie is an amazing cook! He also accepts dinner reservations for a minimum of 10pax. Expect glorious food!

The next day we walked to the nearby beachfront of Bohol Beach Club. It's picture perfect, almost like a postcard!

We found Korean lovebirds taking their own prenup shots on the beach :*

In the afternoon, we visited the pretty Bohol Bee Farm. The owner is so artistic! Just look at how presentable her herb garden is :)
"Live Well, Laugh Often, Love Much" it says :)

I love this weathered look. I wonder if I recreate this here in Bacungan.

We had lunch at Bohol Bee Farm's cliffside and down below is this serene view of the ocean...

Someone had malunggay flavored ice cream for dessert! :)

Then we dropped by for tea at the Ananyana Resort which is pure indulgence! I'd like to stay here one day :)

That wraps up my short Bohol experience. I wish it were longer but this gives me a reason to come back with Montri and Santi! :)

Up next... Bangkok!
