I Have A Dream

Something is wrong with my blogger I can't seem to upload the youtube video I am watching and loving this minute. It's the scene (starting/ending) of Mamma Mia with the song I Have A Dream.

Thanks Dinx!

As 2008 comes to an end and the year of the Earth Ox creeps in, I have my handy Paperblanks French Ornate Bleu Day Planner on my side ---thanks to you sis! (who now resides in far away Dubai)

Exactly printed to recreate the luminosity and look of classic era silk, this image pays homage to the Jacquard loom silk weaving tradition of Lyon, France, in the nineteenth century

Oh, it's so luxe! I am loving it ;)

Beautiful Sage

I know I've said it a million times to friends and relatives that I do NOT want another child. Why so? Well, because it's very difficult to take care of one esp when you are as hands on as I am (no comparison though to people in the U.S...hats off to you guys!!!)

I am still breastfeeding Santi at 17 months (and mighty proud of it!)
Santi co-sleeps with me (I cannot fathom him sleeping elsewhere!)
Santi is pretty high need still... I can't explain it but he kinda demands a lot from me ;S

So... I know it's odd of me to say this but if I ever have a baby girl in the future (7 years from now?) I would want to name her Sage...don't you think it's cute to have Santi & Sage???! ;D

This is very much inspired by the TV series, Privileged.

Uh Oh Oreos

Something is up with Sanch. Lately he has been Mr. Grumpy and I wonder if it's because of:

a. Itch from chicken pox (although I have not seen him scratching at all... the Jar of Hope is doing miracles on his skin...I notice it is healing uber fast! Yipee!)

b. His cold is bothersome (I am seriously going with this)

c. He is going crazy watching Madagascar all day (well... not all day but most of the time he demands this now on the laptop).

You see, I am kicking myself from guilt because since his yaya left for the province, I have been relying on the good ol' laptop for cartoon movies to distract him while I do stuff. His first love is Kung Fu Panda...he could watch it all day if he had to. But thank heavens he is sick of it now so he has moved on to Madagascar...his favorite characters? The cute & cuddly (& crazy) penguins!

Now the difficult thing is, he cannot stop with just one show, he has to watch and watch and watch...and I can't seem to get him to do other things like play with his toys or look at his books. This is getting out of control so I already warned M to hide the laptops tom (we have 3 in our room) so it is 'out of sight and out of mind'...let's hope my plan works!

Gossip Girl Giddy

That's right. I get all giddy watching character Aaron Rose when he goes after Serena on Gossip Girl. He is just such my kind of guy. Love him love him love him.

I love the fact that he is an artist.
I love that he rides a bike.
I love that he kept their engagement/wedding ring for years (because he was in love with Serena all this time) and surprised her with it.
I love it that he grew up in the upper east side and yet chooses life on the brooklyn side.
I love how he photographed her, made her feel like a goddess with his instillation art piece.
I love the way he looks at her.
I uber love that scene where he sends her a met her a map (a clue to where he is) and he meets her and kisses her in NYC while being filmed for the world to see.

Haaaaaaaaaay. That's what I call PASSION. I am such a sucker for these romantic tactics.

It is so very dreamy. Do those things happen in real life?!

(M I hope you read this one day :P)

You can't imagine how hard it was for Santi to pose. He just woke up and was very masungit :P We took tons of photos and these 2 were the best.

Happy Holidays from the INDIGObabies Santi & Benny with their Yummy Mummies Monica & Denise!

No-Help Holiday

Yes I seriously need a full Jar of Love for de-stressing. The yaya of Santi since February quit her job and my all around maid/cook got chicken pox last week (of course I sent her home because none of us here has ever had it and we do not want to look like a dalmatian this Christmas!).

Is it just me or why is it that everytime M and I lack house-help (we have zero now) we end up fighting about domestic issues? He rants on about how its supposed to be 'my role' to keep the house in order blah blah blah. (Btw, I totally disagree with him on the concept of roles...even Father Dennis backed me up!)

Forgive my bitterness but I how do I start on being the *perfect Stepford wife* when I was never the domestic goddess?

-Do not count on me with cooking (I only prepare non-meat dishes because I can't stand blood and the stench).

-I really never learned to clean or do the laundry since there were maids to do that for us. (Hence us choosing to stay in the Philippines because we know life is tough elsewhere) Gosh you should see our pile of laundry now!

-Half the day I am breastfeeding Santi (yes he is 1.7 years old now) or attempting to make him nap more than just once a day! Actually, taking care of him pretty much takes up almost ALL DAY. When we wake up, we eat then play out in the garden...then get ready for lunch...then bathe and nap then play again until dinner. I only get to do work when he naps (1 hour or less) or when asleep at night which leaves me with less than 8 hours of sleep and almost no alone time mummy :_(

(I only started having a yaya btw last Feb and I got used to that routine. Loved the time I had to myself to exercise or eat in peace or have dates with M. Now it's a bit crazy again being full-time hands on...with no other help pa ayayay!)

So, I throw this question out to all you moms who have a clean home and great food to eat for husband when he gets home (with no help from maids). How do you do it without losing your sanity?

A Healing Peppermint Christmas

Do you feel Christmassy? To banish the scrooge in all of us, you may resort to INDIGObaby's Jar of Love Healing Gel. Made from Pure Peppermint Essential Oil, this little fella is sure to lift your spirits in trying times.

This comes in handy when my 1.7 year old son Santi has the cough/cold/fever/flu. I just rub on his chest, back and feet. It loosens the phlegm and helps him breathe better. Any parent knows how difficult it is to see your helpless child bawl through the night when the nose is clogged with icky snot :(

I love the minty smell and sensation too on my forehead whenever I dab --- this I do for jetlag and stress. To top it all, this is entirely made from 100% pure ingredients. No yucky harmful chemicals for you and baby.

Refrigerate for that extra cooling sensation.

Only P300 per jar available at indigomanila.multiply.com

I am moved.

There are a few times in my life when I have been absolutely moved by words I have read in books. Just recently I read this --

"Convince me that you have a seed there, and I am prepared to expect wonders."
-Henry D. Thoreau

Beautiful, isn't it? This will be my inspiration for undying faith (in people and life in general) from this moment forth!

Tying The Knot

We did it! We had a beautiful and intimate wedding at the Chapel of Transfiguration in Caleruega, Batangas with the reception at my all-time favorite Sonya's Garden in Tagaytay. I am sorry for my blog leave! I really had so much on my plate-INDIGObaby, the wedding, Santi, and my new business venture... Manila Wedding Bees. Please spread the word to family and friends who just got engaged about us! We do wedding planning and coordination :) Yey!
